We all tried folding it down together straight away.
Size question sorted
Wasn't sure between two sizes, the advice helped. The weight was mentioned too when I was choosing.
Was sceptical. Now I'm pleasantly surprised. It's already been useful for the jobs that needed doing.
Was sceptical. Now I'm pleasantly surprised. Being able to collapse it down is really handy day to day.
Was sceptical. Now I'm pleasantly surprised. At first I was unsure because of all the moving parts. I had expected the weight to be easier to manage, though.
Was really pleased when the first job was finished. I've already got the next project in mind. I'd just like a bit less weight when carrying it.
For the new flat
Was on hand for the first jobs in the flat. The basic moves were quick to learn. The parcel was a bit awkward to get up the stairs.
Was looking forward to the parcel and I'm not disappointed. After the first use the wait was forgotten.
Was just right for the first jobs. My wife and I both get on fine with it.
Very happy with it around the house so far. I find it comfortable to handle.
Very handy for the trips to my parents'. The short size makes it easier for me to load.
Very handy for the odd jobs around here. Extending and retracting it works properly for me. The small markings could be clearer.
Taken along to the summer house
Very handy for the little jobs outside. Glad of the compact size when carrying it away. We don't have a big tool store right by the garden. I take along the things I need for the job in hand and put them away again afterwards. The collapsible design is nice for that. The ladder hasn't let me down on the jobs so far, and I no longer have to borrow one every time.
Using it comes easily to me.
Unpacking was uneventful, everything looked sound. The model is the version I chose.
Unpacked it and got a good impression straight away. The surface arrived without any visible marks.
Tried it out and it gets my approval. Coped well with its first job for me.
Took a quiet moment to go through the steps properly. I don't have to think about it for long any more.
There's plenty to do in the new house. Carrying it up and down the stairs is still a bit of an effort.
The version matches what I ordered. Could get to grips with the ladder straight away. With another tool I once had a small part missing, and that turned out to be more of a nuisance than expected. So these days I check straight away when unpacking. I didn't have to raise anything this time. Once I'd got to grips with how it works, I could start on the job I had planned. The paperwork could be clearer about what goes with what.
The tracking link was helpful. Didn't have to message anyone about it.
For the flat
The small ladder during the renovation work. The photo was taken after tidying up. I get on fine with the 2.6 m one and can carry it into the room next door afterwards. That works for us.
Enough for my needs
The size suits me for our little jobs on the summer house. Afterwards the ladder goes in the shed here. I'm no professional and don't need a massive thing, so I'm happy with my choice.
The sections extend smoothly for me. It doesn't feel like a toy to me.
The right ladder arrived. There was quite a lot of packaging to deal with when unpacking.
Reply was clear
The reply was something I could actually work with. The ladder I bought suits what I've got planned.
The reply was helpful and not pushy.
The purchase went through without any trouble. The final amount was clear before I paid.
The purchase came at just the right time for the work we had on. We're getting on fine with how it handles.
The process was easy for me to follow. The first time, I had to open the link again.
The price matches my impression so far.
The price in the basket was fine by me. I'd compared several offers beforehand.
The packaging looked worse than the contents. Kept the ladder and I'm happy with it.
The order of the steps was clear once I'd had a look. The way it operates suits my jobs around the house. The print could be bigger for my eyes.
The new ladder isn't just used by one person here.
The model made a good first impression on me.
The mechanism behaves just as it did at the start.
Got the hang of it
The main steps made sense to me. I check the locks before I use it.
The long ladder was always in the way. The way through now stays clear.
The locking mechanism seems properly made. The control buttons are where I can reach them easily.
The ladder's already got a fair few jobs behind it. The size was a good fit for our jobs.
The ladder was packed clean and dry.
The ladder was here before we wanted to get started. A narrower delivery window would have been even better for my planning.
The ladder is a sensible addition to our tools. I'm still happy with the decision.
The ladder gets surprisingly small after the job. Being able to store it away was one of my reasons for buying.
The ladder fits in well by our tool shelves. I no longer have to leave it standing in the hallway.
The ladder fits in nicely alongside my tools in the load space. The tool bag can come along too.
The ladder feels properly made when you handle it. The plastic parts don't let it down either.
The information about the parcel was helpful. Didn't have to chase it up any further.
The idea was new to me, but it's fine now. My first impression was positive overall.

01Locking
Every rung individually locked.
As you extend the ladder, each rung locks into place with its own locking mechanism. A yellow indicator shows you before you climb that everything is secure.
How it works
To retract it, release the locking mechanism at the push of a button. The ladder retracts rung by rung, and your fingers stay clear.
02Stability
Stability starts at the base.
The removable stabiliser bar widens the base, and the non-slip feet grip on tiles, concrete and paving.
Setting up correctly
For safe working, the ladder must stand on firm, level ground. Lean it at an angle of about 75°. The foot of the ladder is then a quarter of the resting height away from the wall.

The small one is enough for me
I don't need a huge ladder, so I went for the 2.6 m. Before that I always used one belonging to someone in the family and had to see when I could collect it. Now there's one in my garage. The size was right for the jobs I wanted to do with it. After use I close it back up and put it here. For me it was exactly the right decision, even without going for the biggest model.

Arrived :)
My little one's arrived :) Unpacked, had a quick go, all good.

Easy to use
Here are the buttons and rungs from closer up. I understood how it works after the first look. Was a bit sceptical about a telescopic ladder beforehand, but I'm happy now.

Everything in order
No dents or marks found at the bottom. Arrived in good order and fine for what I need.

Bought to take with me
The 2.6 m one was lying in the van during loading, not yet secured in the photo. Taking it with me is exactly what I bought it for. Much easier than my old long thing, and the rest of my tools still fit in as well.

Cellar no longer blocked
Our old ladder always blocked half the passageway in the cellar. The new one fits next to the boxes. Used it twice already, works well.

The ladder also comes with a 5-year warranty against manufacturing and material defects. In the event of a warranty claim, we will repair or replace your ladder. What ladder length do I need for my job?
First measure the height of the spot you want to reach and the space available for setting up the ladder. This ladder is 2.60 m long when extended. That is not the height at which you stand or work: leaning at an angle of about 75°, it does not reach as high as its length, and the top rungs are not meant to be stood on.
Which length is right also depends on the work you are doing and how the ladder is set up. If in doubt, send us your measurements and a photo via live chat.
How heavy is the ladder, and how big is it when retracted?
This ladder weighs 8.0 kg and is 74 cm long when retracted. That makes it easier to store and transport. The width of 45.8 cm applies to the extended ladder. Whether it fits in your car boot, cupboard or storage space also depends on its width and depth when retracted, and on the stabiliser bar. So measure up beforehand.
Can I carry, extend and retract the ladder on my own?
At 8.0 kg, the retracted ladder can easily be carried and set up by most users on their own. How easy it is also depends on your strength and practice.
As you extend the ladder, each rung locks into place. To retract it, release the locking mechanism at the push of a button, and the ladder then retracts rung by rung. Follow the user instructions as you do so and keep your fingers out of the area between the rungs.
How stable is the ladder when fully extended?
Set up correctly, it stands securely. The removable stabiliser bar widens the base, the non-slip feet grip on firm surfaces such as tiles, concrete and paving, and each rung is locked individually.
What matters is how it is set up: firm, level ground, a leaning angle of about 75° and a resting point strong enough to take the load. Only use the ladder in the way the instructions allow. The stabiliser bar does not compensate for soft or sloping ground.
How can I tell that the ladder is locked correctly?
As you extend the ladder, each rung locks into place with its own locking mechanism. The yellow indicator shows you before you climb whether it has locked into place. Before every climb, check the locking mechanisms of all the sections in use and inspect the rungs, stiles and feet for damage.
If a locking mechanism appears faulty or you are unsure, do not use the ladder and contact our customer service team.
Do tools and clothing count towards the maximum load?
Yes. The maximum load of 150 kg applies to everything combined: your body weight, clothing, shoes, tools and any materials you take up with you. So it is not 150 kg for the person plus the tools on top. Keep within this limit every time you use the ladder.
Which standard does this model meet?
This model is declared as conforming to the EN 131 standard. EN 131 is the European standard for portable ladders. It sets out requirements and tests, for example for load capacity, stability and build quality.
The standard is no substitute for correct use: observe the maximum load of 150 kg, the safety label and the user instructions. Whether the ladder is permitted for a particular professional use depends on the regulations that apply there.
Can I return the ladder if it isn’t right for me?
Yes, if you are buying as a consumer. You have 14 days from receipt to notify us of your cancellation, and then a further 14 days to send the ladder back. Email contact@rungfield.com or use the ‘Cancel your contract’ form. You bear the cost of the return shipment.
You may examine the ladder as far as is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. If your use goes beyond that, you may have to pay compensation for the loss in value. You will find all the details in the cancellation policy.
