As you extend the ladder, each rung locks into place with its own locking mechanism. A visible indicator shows you before you climb that everything is secure.
To retract it, release the locking mechanism at the push of a button. The ladder retracts rung by rung, and your fingers stay clear.
The removable stabiliser bar widens the base, and the non-slip feet grip on tiles, concrete and paving. High-strength aluminium stiles provide rigidity even when extended.
For safe working, the ladder must stand on firm, level ground. Lean it at an angle of about 75°. The foot of the ladder is then a quarter of the resting height away from the wall.

I bought the 4.4 m one for several jobs around the house. I asked a question about which one to choose first and then ordered. The parcel arrived in decent shape. Once I'd got to know it I got on well with how it works, and the first jobs are done. In the photo it's back in the garage. Being able to retract it is the big difference from the old ladder for me: I don't constantly have to find a long clear space for it.
Finally here! Ordered the 4.4 m, delivered complete. Unpacked it straight away and had a look.
Here are the rungs and controls up close. I wasn't familiar with telescopic ladders yet, but after having a look and trying it out it went fine. The ladder has since been along on several jobs.

First measure the height of the spot you want to reach and the space available for setting up the ladder. This ladder is 4.40 m long when extended. That is not the height at which you stand or work: leaning at an angle of about 75°, it does not reach as high as its length, and the top rungs are not meant to be stood on.

Whether it fits in your car boot, cupboard or storage space also depends on its width and depth when retracted, and on the stabiliser bar. So measure up beforehand.
At 12.5 kg, many users can carry the retracted ladder on their own. When setting up the extended 4.40 m, you need sufficient space. How easy it is also depends on your strength and practice.

Yes. The maximum load of 150 kg applies to everything combined: your body weight, clothing, shoes, tools and any materials you take up with you. So it is not 150 kg for the person plus the tools on top. Keep within this limit every time you use the ladder.
This model is declared as conforming to the EN 131 standard. EN 131 is the European standard for portable ladders. It sets out requirements and tests, for example for load capacity, stability and build quality.
The standard is no substitute for correct use: observe the maximum load of 150 kg, the safety label and the user instructions. Whether the ladder is permitted for a particular professional use depends on the regulations that apply there.
Yes, if you are buying as a consumer. You have 14 days from receipt to notify us of your cancellation, and then a further 14 days to send the ladder back. Email contact@rungfield.com or use the ‘Cancel your contract’ form. You bear the cost of the return shipment.
You may examine the ladder as far as is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. If your use goes beyond that, you may have to pay compensation for the loss in value. You will find all the details in the cancellation policy.
